Dali Renderer supports the following embedded 3DS MAX materials:
Physical Material
Coating layer of this material works in a simplified mode compared to the similar Dali Physical material. When you enable the "Precise Materials if no choice" option on the Scene Options tab, the mode changes to advanced.
Restrictions:
- IOR can only be the same for Reflection and Transmission. Different IOR values are not supported.
- The result of Sub-Surface Scattering calculations will differ from similar calculations in other renderers.
- Anisotropy does not support Map channel option.
- The result of Bump Map and Coating Bump Map calculations will differ from similar calculations in other renderers.
Everything else should work as described in the 3DS MAX help materials.
Blend
The result of the Mixing Curve calculation will be different from 3DS MAX: Dali Renderer uses a different type of interpolation.
